Careers – Food And Beverage

MAITRE 

Main duties

  • Assist with overseeing the daily operations of the Restaurant, Bar, Room Service, Banquets
  • Be thoroughly familiar with all menu items, specials, beverages, etc.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and practices.
  • Set service staff schedules.
  • Monitor the quality of the food, ensuring it is up to standards.
  • Check reservations from front desk; handle special attention details as needed.
  • Ensure service to all guests follows established standards, is consistent, efficient and courteous.
  • Assist staff with their job functions to ensure excellent service to guests.
  • Monitor staff to ensure all duties are completed in a satisfactory manner.
  • Receive orders from vendors and check invoices to ensure accuracy.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests
  • Monitor and handle guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Motivate staff to perform at their highest abilities.
  • Assist with ordering supplies and monthly inventory of supplies.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel features/services, outlets, hours of operation, etc.
  • Be an ambassador of the hotel and the company at all times, in and out of the work place.
  • strive to continuously improve the quality of service
  • Observe standards for the department in image, appearance, and grooming; properly represent the company and the profession to outside organizations and the community.
  • Assist in other areas as needed.

We require:

Must have a thorough knowledge of Food & Beverage, possess excellent knowledge of wines and has a solid experience in fine dining environments

The ideal candidate has an excellent attention to detail and high standards, strong positive attitude and leadership.

He must be able to lead the Restaurant team in Day to Day Activities, holding the staff to high work standards, and modelling those standards in order to achieve exceptional customer service

Skills

  • Fluent in Italian and English written and spoken (the knowledge of a third language is a major plus)
  • Minimum 3 years experience on spa function in 5* luxury environment
  • Proven leadership qualities.
  • Working knowledge of restaurant operations and management.
  • Ability to analyze written reports and prepare written or typed reports.
  • Ability to access, input and retrieve information on the computer system.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise judgment to resolve personnel and production issues that arise during daily operations.
  • Ability to handle the stress inherent in overseeing operations, interacting with co-employees and resolving guest problems.
  • Ability work under pressure, be organized, self-motivated and work well with others.
  • Strong positive attitude and ability to initiate conversation with guests.
  • Knowledge of hotel property and operating hours of each guest service area.
  • Ability to complete work in a timely, accurate and thorough manner.
  • Ability to work effectively and relate well with senior management, colleagues, subordinates, and individuals inside and outside the hotel.
  • Understanding of the luxury hotel environment.

Working as part of the Restaurant team with responsibility for providing exceptional customer service, taking food orders from guests, have a full knowledge of the menu (including allergens) managing a station and ensuring it is correctly set

Requirements

  • Fluent in Italian and English written and spoken (the knowledge of a third language is a major plus)
  • Must have previous experience in similar role in 5* hotel (minimum 2/3 years)
